Collaborating with Room 8

Collaboration on Friday in Rooms 8 & 9, the Room 9 children shared the amazing work they have on their blogs and the Room 8 children gave them thoughtful and helpful comments. Then Room 9 did some teaching and they worked together to create a spaceship using Google Drawings. Lots of ideas discussed and decisions made.

  1. Hi there, my name is Kane and I am a student at Ohaeawai Primary School. I really like all the shapes and patterns that you use in your maths patterns. It made me think about my maths that I blogged in 2017. Have you thought about using the numbers instead of shapes to make a pattern?

  2. Hi there, my name is Asbjorn and I am a student at Ohaeawai Primary School. I really like hearing about the space ship. It made me think about being a astronaut.
You should try out doing an animation of a car falling off a cliff and going into space.

  3. Kia ora Room 9,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator. I live in Whangarei. Whangarei is near the top of the North Island, a long way away from where you live in Christchurch. Have any of you ever been to the North Island or Whangarei? I am the person who organises Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu, the blogging programme you have joined. It is good to hear you are practising your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments. It's also good to see you are getting comments from the Ohaeawai School learners. Keep up the great work learning, creating and sharing. I look forward to keeping up to date with your learning on your class blog.
